This is another Dakk Waggitt spoof that I started last year during the big "Death of Captain America" event and finally finished. Let me know what you think.

This is a cartoon I did of my two cats back in December. I did it as a study for an extended scene in the first chapter of the Dakk Waggitt graphic novel I'm working on in which our pudgy Platypus pal has a run-in with a "ferocious" feline. ...and "Happy Birthday" to my daughter Kaitlyn who turns 12 today!

Here's my comic from the latest issue of Indy.com Magazine. It was in celebration of President's Day but may be lacking in the celebratory flavor that the day is meant for. But if it's funny, who cares. Right?

I started this little Dakk Waggitt/Pirates of the Caribbean sketch last year but never finished it. This weekend, while going through some old projects, I found it and still thought it was cool. After inking the piece and playing around with it in Photoshop, I came up with this. Let me know what you think.

Last Valentine's Day I did this spot cartoon of Pig (from the Pete & Pig strip that I draw for Indy.com Magazine as well the promotional postcards that I mentioned a couple of days ago) as Cupid. I thought I'd bring it out again for this year's day of romance. Enjoy!

For the last several months, I've been doing monthly promotional postcards for a local financial planner named Pete whose blog, What Your Dad Never Taught You, is as humorous as it is insightful. This is February's postcard.
I'm back! Did you miss me? As I'm between comics but still wanted to maintain a presence on the web, I thought I'd make Toon It Up an art blog of sorts for the time being. Right now I don't have plans to start doing a weekly webcomic again but am still creating comics for Indy.com Magazine in Indianapolis. The comic below is from the newest issue which has also been posted on IndyWebComics.com. In other news, I just recently finished a six-page Dakk Waggitt (the Platypus in the website header) story that has been submitted for possible inclusion in the new Young American Comics anthology entitled What's In The Box. I've also been working on the first chapter of a Dakk Waggitt graphic novel. I'll be posting some preliminary illustrations from that soon. For now, though, here's Modern Daze...
